Spring fever

Cruisin' for a good time

Grant loves to make us laugh. We may have a future class clown on our hands. If he thinks it's fun to see two parents laughing at his antics, I wonder what he'll do in a room full of 20 kids. He's discovered it can be fun to put things on his head. He also loves to go outside and ride in his new car, weather permitting. Unfortunately, weather hasn't permitted as often lately as we'd like. But even cooped up he got to see something cool this week when we had seven trees taken down in the back yard. That held his attention as well as anything has in a long time. Here are some pictures from the last couple of weeks, featuring fun with bowls, buckets, and hats.

Stop the presses: New Grant photos have arrived

Grant getting rowdy at the table

Grant has spring fever. The kid wants to get out of the house in the worst way. Now that it's warming up he's getting out for a lot more walks, play time in the yard, and some nice field trips. Mommy took him to the Strong Museum this week, where he got to see the Sesame Street display among other things. He loved it. He also got to meet his great-grandfather for the first time ever. He was a little shy, but eventually got pretty comfortable sitting on great-grandpa's lap.

Check out the photos right here.

It's a Boy! - Grant Lewis Bailey

Grant Lewis

We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Grant Lewis Bailey into the world. He arrived at 5:37 p.m. on Nov. 16. Seven pounds even. 19 1/4 inches long. Perfectly healthy looking. Jill thinks he's got my nose and eyes. Cute little guy. He came only 26 1/2 hours after we first arrived at the hospital. That wasn't all labor; Jill had to be induced because "Grover" was nine days overdue. The nickname "Grover" has really grown on me, but I'll get used to "Grant" pretty quickly.

We have the first pictures of the little guy here, and you can see all of the latest pictures in the Photo Album.

Welcome to Baileyplace.net. Did you know that we get unknown visitors here on a semi-regular basis? They never bother to write or anything, but the web statistics show the genealogy page is something of a hit. In fact, virtually all of our search engine traffic is generated by genealogical searches. There are a lot of names in the Family Tree of George Lewis Bailey, which traces our roots back to the 1600s, and they are popping up all over Google, I guess.
